Abstract
Digital transformation has become a crucial factor in redefining supply chain management (SCM) within global markets. This research paper delves into the significant impact of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data analytics, on boosting supply chain efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach that integrates a systematic literature review with empirical data analysis from 255 survey responses, the study investigates how digital transformation affects supply chain capabilities and competitive performance. The results indicate that digitalization greatly enhances transparency, agility, and cost-effectiveness, while also tackling environmental sustainability. Nonetheless, challenges like high implementation costs, lack of standardization, and cybersecurity threats remain. The article offers strategic recommendations for organizations to effectively harness digital tools and suggests future research directions to fill gaps in the literature. The advancement of digital technologies has notably altered supply chain management (SCM) across global markets. By referencing current literature and real-world examples, the paper underscores improved efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness as primary outcomes of digital integration. However, it also discusses the challenges of cybersecurity, integration complexity, and workforce preparedness. A mixed-method research approach was employed, combining survey data from global supply chain managers with secondary analysis of industry reports. The findings confirm that while digital transformation provides considerable advantages, successful implementation relies on organizational readiness, strategic alignment, and stakeholder collaboration. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for global companies aiming to develop resilient, digitally enabled supply chains.
